Flourishing families resource

Freedom 2 Flourish

Marriage and parenting can be some of the most fulfilling gifts that God gives us and yet, can also be some of the most challenging journeys for many.

God intentionally created us as sexual beings,

and every sexual choice is a spiritual choice.

We may have compulsive behaviors with the power to destroy our relationships...versus a healthy expression of our sexuality that can enhance our relationships.

Freedom 2 Flourish has been created as a resource for those who are concerned about or have been impacted by pornography and sexual addiction.

Endorsements

As a church leader, I'm so grateful this powerful and dynamic resource exists to support families in their strategy for healthy sexuality.

Corinne Jones - Bluewater Church, Ontario, Canada

Almost every family I encounter has been touched by the ravages of the porn epidemic. It destroys relationships in the most insidious way possible: by distorting the Image of God in the people we love the most. Sexual addiction carries with it a stigma unlike any other in our culture and the way forward is through reintegration into a healthy, loving community. Freedom 2 Flourish points people to resources that seek to address the root causes of sexual addiction in a safe, community oriented environment

Alek Bohigian - Sr Pastor, Gloria Dei Lutheran, San Jose

Sexual addiction is a wide-spread problem that undermines our most important relationships. By providing timely and powerful resources through marriage ministries, Freedom 2 Flourish will help expose the darkness of unwanted sexual behavior and bring healing to couples and restoration for families.

Ken Shigematsu - Sr Pastor, Tenth Church, Vancouver

Porn is as damaging to marriages as a sexual affair. It represents a betrayal of the monogamous love commitment and impacts not only physical affection, but intimacy in general. Among addictions, porn is the most direct relationship killer and recovery cannot be accomplished alone. Freedom2Flourish.org provides many helpful resources and in an inviting and user-friendly format.

Monte Fisher – Director, Care and Recovery, Menlo Church

So many people are drowning in a sea of pornography, there can never be too many lifebuoys thrown into the water. Freedom2flourish.org is a strong, rescuing resource. If it helps even a few families escape the grip of sexual addiction, experience freedom and flourish in Christ, it will be worth the effort spent to create it.

Randall B - Recovery Group Leader

If the Christian life is to have a visible impact and not lived in secret, then providing resources across the spectrum of sexuality should be a significant focus of the Church. These resources should start a meaningful conversation about how actions of individuals can ultimately impact the exploitation of others and clearly connect the journey of becoming more like Christ with protecting the most vulnerable.

- Hailey Copeland, The Plew

There are so many wonderful non-profit organizations that are doing tremendous work to rescue women and children from sexual abuse and trafficking, helping them to heal and be restored and yet – as long as there is demand for their “services” – there will always be exploitation.

Given the problem of sexual exploitation in our society, its prevalence, root causes, and the devastating impact it has on victims, Freedom2Flourish.org has been created to help the church become a beacon of light and a change-maker, to bring healing and restoration AND prevent more vulnerable children and women from being exploited.
